Back in the Great Unknown, the battle began to heat up, as both sides charged each other with intensity.
"Forward, my comrades!" Sally ordered while running. "Leave nothing of the Robotnik Empire left standing!"
As she was saying this, Sonic led the charge, running towards the Swatbots with vigor while preparing to cut them to pieces with a triple spin. The Swatbots responded by stopping in place ten feet from their foes and began to fire multiple lasers at them in rapid succession. Sonic though easily evaded their attacks, moving from side to side with super agility. Once he was close enough, the blue hedgehog jumped four feet into the air and quickly spun into a ball with lighting speed and attacked Snively's metal soldiers with ferocious power, cutting cleanly through the metal chests of three Swatbots, instantly making them fall to the ground dead. After doing that, Sonic then jumped high in the air again to attack more Swatbots, this time using his homing attack to knock more of them to ground.
Bunnie, who was right behind him while attacking, soon came flying in with an aerial karate kick to another Swatbot's head, smacking it to the ground with a thud face first. Seconds later, Bunnie glanced over her shoulder and saw two more Swatbots charging towards her from behind as they fired their laser weapons. Using precise timing, Bunnie turned around once they close enough and leveled both of them to the ground with a strong circular roundhouse kick to their faces. Little did the cyborg rabbit realize, this was only the beginning, as a dozen Swatbots soon began to charge towards her in a fury, firing their laser weapons even more rapidly. Thinking fast, Bunnie picked a stunned Swatbot she had knocked to the ground seconds ago by its right leg with her metal arm and began to use it like a baseball bat, smacking her pursuers high into the air with ferocious strength. Within seconds, Swatbot after Swatbot that dared to come close enough to attack the cyborg rabbit ended up heavily damaged from her genius strategy.
While this was going on, Sonic's siblings also began to contribute to the fight, as Manic took out his hover board from his pocket and began to fly into the air to begin to attack from above. Sonia meanwhile used her tornado spin move towards the attacking Swatbots, knocking any of them that got in her way to the ground stunned. Once she stopped spinning to start attacking more of them with her martial art moves, Sonia was then abruptly grabbed from behind by Swatbot trying to take her prisoner.
"Oh no, you don't, bozo!" Sonia retorted annoyed.
Using her strength to counter this, Sonia grabbed the Swatbot by its arms and heaved it at five more coming towards her from the north, resulting them being knocked off their feet upon impact, immediately hitting the ground seriously damaged.
Inspired by Sonia's fighting spirit, Antoine prepared to do his share as well to try and impress her by attempting some martial art moves himself. But unfortunately, his clumsiness got the best of him yet again. After managing to knock a couple to the ground, he then missed badly, landing flat on his back stunned. Three Swatbots around him soon prepared to take advantage of this by trying to take him out with their laser guns, making the French coyote cower with fear as they did so. Annoyed by his incompetence, Sonia again bailed him out, as she came flying in with a triple round house kick, leveling all three of the Swatbots to the ground in a daze. Sonia then helped him up, with Antoine looking at her with deep gratitude.
"Thank you for saving me, Mon Amour." Antoine said, kissing her right hand again.
Sonia though had to no time to answer him, as another four Swatbots were ready to pounce. Antoine saw them coming and again began to freak out. The female hedgehog however kept her composure, quickly taking them down with another triple roundhouse kick to their metal faces. Once they were taken down, Sonia said to him bluntly with a frown, "You know, for someone who wants to be a ladies man, you sure have a funny way of showing it."
"I am sorry, Sonia." Antoine said humbly. "I didn't mean to
Again, four more Swatbots interrupted their conversation, as lasers soon fired at the two Freedom Fighters with fierce speed, resulting in Sonia having to use her Tornado Spin a second time, knocking the metal soldiers that came in contact with her for a serious loop.
"You want to make up for your mistake?" Sonia demanded annoyed moments later. "You can start by helping us win this battle!"
Using this as incentive, Antoine slightly hit his chest and said, "Very well, I shall show you that I am not just a klutzy Freedom Fighter!"
Sonia though was not convinced by his bold statement, soon getting her mind back on the job at hand. Antoine then stood by her side from that moment on, ready to help her out at all costs.
To help keep the four Mecha Dragons from seriously injuring any of their teammates who were unable to fight them, Sonic and Manic soon baited the Mecha Dragons after the getting past the large Swatbot army, and taunted the metal reptiles in order to make them give chase after the two hedgehogs. Since they were very good at this, all four Mecha Dragons instantly took the bait, enraged, as they split up into two teams to take them out.
"Worked like a charm." Sonic commented to Manic smugly.
As the Mecha Dragons came closer to attack them, the two hedgehogs quickly went in two different directions, with Sonic blasting off away from the camp south, while Manic took the sky heading east in order to deal with them up there since he was an expert on fighting aerial battles.
Snively saw this and quickly frowned. "I don't have a good feeling about all of this." He commented, as he watched from a distance, crossing his arms. His assumptions would soon be correct, as Sonic and Manic began to use their fighting skills to wear down his metal reptiles.
Once Sonic had enough space to his liking, he stopped in his tracks. The two Mecha Dragons who were in hot pursuit were none other than Mecha Dulcy and an Ice Mecha Dragon.
"Ok, time to give them the old 1-2 punch, Sonic style!" the blue hedgehog said smirking as they drew closer.
As soon as they were within twenty five feet in front of him, Sonic quickly revved up his legs, preparing to time his attack to perfection. The two Mecha Dragons on the other hand soon began to prepare to attack their prey as they drew closer. Seconds before they attacked, Sonic blasted off towards them at high speed. Both Mecha Dragons then instantly spewed a large wall of flame and ice beams at him, which were approximately three feet high and 10 feet wide. Sonic though easily cleared their attack to roast and freeze him at the exact same, as he jumped five feet into the air, and then hit both Mecha Dragons between their eyes with a honing triple spin attack, using one Mecha Dragon to ricochet off the other. The impact of his triple spin seriously stunned both of them, making each roar from the moderate damage he caused.
While they were stunned, Sonic grabbed two smoke bombs from his backpack and then heaved it at each of their mouths. "Here, chew on this, metal heads!" Sonic shouted, as he threw it. His aim was right on target, with both bombs soon exploding moments after landing inside their metal jaws. Smoke then immediately enveloped from their mouths, as the blue hedgehog chuckled at their predicament after they reacted with another angry roar.
"Gotta watch those spicy foods." Sonic said, mocking them. "Looks like both of you got a bad case of heartburn."
To no one's surprise, both Mecha Dragons again gave chase after shaking off the effects, now angrier than ever. Sonic quickly saw this and began to take off again.
"Looks like they don't have a good sense of humor." Sonic commented with grin while running. "Guess I'll have to give them another lesson then."
Snively happened to see this in the distance, using binoculars, making him growl angrily. "That wretched hedgehog!" he declared disgusted. "How is it possible he can take on two of them so easily?" His problems however would soon escalate, as during that very time, Manic was preparing to school the other two Mecha Dragons, which were another Fire Dragon, as well as a Wind one. Once he was 5,000 feet in the air, he began to take it to them.
"It's Showtime." Manic commented, full of adrenaline.
By this time, the Mecha Dragons had begun to close in on their prey, using their rocket boosters to increase their speed. Manic of course saw this and was ready to counter. Seconds later, both of the Mecha Dragons prepared their special attacks, firing them the green hedgehog once they reached full power. Manic's countermeasures though bailed him out, as he timed his evasion maneuvers to perfection. One second before getting hit, Manic did an aerial loop on his hover board, completing missing the large wall of flames and powerful gust of wind that came at him. Once he completed it, he found himself now right behind the Dragons. Both of them however soon slowed down after discovering this, now turning around, ready to attack their prey from the opposite direction.
"Oh, you want to play some more, do ya?" Manic said, tauntingly. "Well, come and get me!"
As it turned out, both Mecha Dragons soon came to a stop in mid air, hovering in place with their metal wings, preparing to attack. Manic though came up with a brilliant strategy, as he soon hit the turbo on his hover board.
"If this works as planned," Manic said nervously. "They'll end up damaging each other instead."
Now at full speed, Manic charged towards them. Moments later, both Mecha Dragons activated their rocket boosters, now charging towards the green hedgehog as well, attacking in a V formation. After seeing this, Manic felt more confident he could pull this off without a scratch on him. Within three seconds; both of them were only twenty feet apart from each other, coming closer and closer with every passing second. Manic then prepared to evade at the last possible moment. He soon began to count down in his head, attempting to time it perfectly.
Again, Manic got the timing down brilliantly, as he nosedived on his board, completely missing the Mecha Dragons by inches. Instead, the Mecha Dragons collided with each other, as they were attempting to cut him with their razor sharp teeth at the exact same time. Both Mecha Dragons instead received serious damage to their metal jaws from each other's attack, resulting in moderate dents around its structure.
That was all Snively could stand. He soon threw his binoculars down in a rage. "ICOMPETENT BUFFONS!" He shouted. "Four super powered Mecha Dragons can't take care of two meddling hedgehogs?" Snively then composed himself moments later, though he still was incensed on the inside. "If you want a job done right," He said to himself, heading towards his Hover Unit, "You gotta do it yourself!" Snively quickly got into his cockpit, fired up the engines, preparing to deal with Sonic and Manic, that is, until something caught his eye from the west.
"What in the
" Snively soon growled angrily, gritting his teeth, as he saw Sleet and Nack attempting to leave the camp. "If those two think they can give me the slip, they've got another thing coming!" Snively then fired up the engines and soon gave chase.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Nack inquired nervous while running. "Shouldn't we wait until both sides are exhausted from battle before taking off?
"There's no point in waiting it out!" Sleet shouted, scolding him. "Besides, we're more than likely to get hit with flying debris, and who knows what else if we stick around here any longer, so now's the perfect time to escape before things really gets ugly."
Nack couldn't argue with that, though he couldn't help but wonder if they would be caught. Ten seconds later, he fears were confirmed, as Snively immediately cut them off, firing large goops of Mega Muck at them while in mid air. Snively's aim was right on target, as both of them were trapped from the knees up in mega muck. Sleet and Nack tried effortlessly to get out of that sticky substance, but they were trapped.
"Hey, I can't move!" Nack commented, struggling to escape. "I think Snively somehow got wind of our plans to flee."
"Oh, what tipped you off, Sherlock?" Sleet retorted annoyed.
Snively then brought his craft down and quickly exited, now with an electronic shackle blaster in hand.
"I should have known you two would try something like this." Snively commented enraged at them.
Sleet then said trying to defuse the situation, "I don't know what you're talking about, sir. We weren't running away. We were going to
"Enough of your lies!" Snively roared, now jabbing the gun in Sleet's chest. "Did you really think I didn't have any suspicions about you two wanting to help us? I had a feeling you had ulterior motives the longer you hung around here. Too bad your plan is shot." He then called over a Swatbot was stationed nearby and ordered it to put them in his Hovercraft. As it did so, an explosion was occurred twenty feet away, resulting in scattered metal parts flying about, almost hitting the small dictator in the head, as he was forced to duck for cover. When he looked to see who it was, Snively saw it none other than the cyborg rabbit Bunnie blasting Swatbots with her laser gun. Enraged, he went inside his hovercraft as well, now looking for a weapon to deal with her promptly.
"That cyborg menace is one of the biggest threats to my plans, so I'll take care right here and now!" Snively said, rummaging through his weapons in a storage container. As he was doing so, the Swatbot had taken the electronic shackle blaster from Snively's hand moments before and fired two beams at the bounty hunters, restraining both their arms and legs.
Snively's storage container held several deadly weapons, ranging from a mini missile launcher, R31 6 round grenade launcher and a mega muck machine gun. Not wanting to risk taking out a lot of his troops in the process, Snively went for the mega muck machine gun.
"I'll nail her with so much mega muck; she'll be a sitting duck!" Snively declared, now holding the gun firmly in his grasp. Before he exited the craft, he ordered the Swatbot who had put them in it, "Keep an eye on these two until further notice. Do not let them escape under any conditions. Understood?"
"Yes, sir." The Swatbot answered with his monotone voice.
Just then, the hovercraft Snively was standing in before to shake all over. As it turned out, Bunnie had cleared through and was now going for the small dictator himself, firing a charged laser blast at it, resulting in moderate damage to its hover engine.
"C'mon outta there, you nasty dictator!" Bunnie ordered. "Or I'm coming in there after ya!"
Snively again grit his teeth and quickly exited the craft, clutching his weapon in position to fire. After he exited, Nack asked Sleet, "Now what we do? How are we going to get out this mess now that we're all bound up?"
"Relax, my simpleton stooge." Sleet replied charismatically. "I'll think of a way outta this mess." He then added with a grin. "I'm very resourceful."
"Well do you have any ideas at all?" Nack inquired impatiently.
"Don't rush me!" Sleet fired back. "These genius plans of mine take time!"
The Swatbot guarding them then pointed his laser gun at them and ordered with his robotic voice, "Silence, prisoners!"
Sleet did as he was told, though he began to concoct his brilliant strategy inside his head. Nack though tried to protest, but Sleet shushed him saying with a wink, saying, "Let's not make this anymore difficult on us than it already is."
Nack got the gist of what he was saying, though he had no idea what Sleet was cooking up in his mind.
Meanwhile outside, Snively stepped outside, ready to fight. Bunnie aimed her gun at him and said, "Face me if you dare!"
"Your arrogance will end up costing you dearly, cyborg!" Snively retorted, now pointing his gun at her as well. "It'll take more than one of you wretched vermin to take me down!"
Angered at his words, Bunnie prepared to charge her gun, that is until Manic came swooping down on his hover board and said now hovering in place near her, "Yo, babe, I'm going to need to help for something."
"Can't it wait, Manic?" Bunnie replied, slightly annoyed, not taking her eyes off of Snively. "I've got an important matter to take care of here."
"I don't think so." Manic told her firmly.
She finally looked at him and said losing her patience a bit, "What on Mobius could be more important than
" That's when she saw what Manic was trying to tell her. The two Mecha Dragons that he'd been battling with soon came swooping in, spewing their special attacks at both her and Manic. Both Freedom Fighters instantly dove out of the way, as their attacks came at them very quickly. Even Snively was forced to take evasive action, who was about to take advantage of Bunnie taking her eyes of him. The Mecha Dragons' attack though ruined his chances of doing so.
Seeing clearly now what Manic was getting at, she quickly got back on her feet after they passed by saying, "I see what you were trying to say." She then ran to him while the Mecha Dragons were changing direction to attack again and said, "Let's toast em!"
"Well, all right then!" Manic replied, pumped up, grabbing his board.
Once they were both on it, Manic quickly took off, ready to face these fierce Mecha Dragons. Snively meanwhile didn't get back on his feet as fast as they did, soon seeing them ready to take off for the sky. He then got up and began to fire his mega muck machine gun at them. Unfortunately though, he had waited too long, as his shots missed due to poor timing. Snively soon about threw his gun on the ground in a fit of rage after they were out of his weapon's range. "Another missed opportunity!" he shouted angrily. "I'm really getting sick of this!" Seconds later, he said trying to compose himself again, "Hopefully those Mecha Dragons of mine will get it right this time."
Luckily for him, he soon saw another opportunity on his plate, as the other Freedom Fighters were still in an intense battle with dozens of Swatbots. "I guess they'll do for now." Snively said, now grinning. He soon headed over there to deal with them properly.
While Snively had been dealing with the Bunnie and Manic, Leeta and Lyco, along with Reynard and Canus had found themselves trying to hold their ground against ten Swatbots in heavy pursuit. With only two swords as their weapons, their methods of attack would have to well-utilized in order to be successful.
"We're going to have to use teamwork to fend them off." Leeta told her comrades
"Ok, let's do it!" Reynard replied, smacking his fists together.
The Wolf Pack team then charged towards their pursuers, lowering their heads and moving left to right to evade the lasers that came their way when necessary. Once they were close enough, Leeta and Lyco, who led the charge held their swords above their heads with both hands and then swung them with all their strength, knocking two Swatbots off their feet with an attack that hit them below their metal knee. Reynard and Canus did their part to help as well, using their feet to knock the off balanced Swatbots to the ground in one strong swoop. Within thirty seconds, all ten of them were knocked to the ground thanks to their stellar teamwork, Leeta and Lyco then turned around and went to finish off a couple of the Swatbots on the ground, jumping a couple of feet in their air, quickly planting the nose of their swords in its metal eye after landing, disabling its robotic brain.
After two Swatbots were disabled, Reynard said to the twins impressed, "Nice moves, you two, now let me and Canus finish them off with these explosives." Leeta and Lyco had given them most of their weapons they had received from Sonic before they went to attack. Unfortunately though, the remaining eight Swatbots in front of them quickly got back on their feet moments after he had said that, more determined than ever to destroy their enemies, now standing in a row of eight.
"Terminate Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters!" One of the Swatbots said in monotones with its laser gun pointed at them.
"Oh, crud." Canus groaned, now beginning to feel uneasy inside.
"Keep your composure, everyone." Reynard told the rest. "We can still finish the job if we don't panic." That statement was easier said than done unfortunately. Nonetheless, the other three were determined not to give up. They would keep fighting until they couldn't any longer for the sake of their leader, Lupe.
Moments later, all eight Swatbots aimed their weapons and fired, shooting at them with fury. Both Reynard and Canus were forced to duck since they had nothing to protect them. To make matters worse, neither of them could get a shot at throwing an explosive at Snively's robotic soldiers, as the lasers were coming towards them at an alarming rate. Leeta and Lyco on the other hand put their swords in front of them to block the attacks. Thankfully, their swords were strong enough to absorb and deflect any lasers that came at them. However, the lasers soon began to come at them faster and faster, making both of the Wolf Pack twins realize they had better change strategies fast, or risk their swords being destroyed by the lasers and then face the grave possibility of getting fried as well.
Leeta then said to her sister as she was trying to block the lasers that came at her, "Lyco, try using your sword as a bat against the Swatbots."
"What are you nuts?" Lyco replied dumbfounded, trying to fend them off as well. They'll zap me before I could get within five feet of them."
"I mean, use your sword to deflect any lasers that come at you back at them." Leeta explained.
"That's still too risky." Lyco argued.
"We don't have much choice." Leeta argued back. "Our swords will soon be cut in two if we don't do something to slow down their barrage of lasers."
Lyco still looked reluctant, that is until Leeta said, "I'll shield you in the meantime, but I need you to do as I ask. Our swords can't take too much more abuse." Indeed Leeta was right. Even Lyco could see the damage the lasers were doing to them. So, she finally decided to comply.
As they lasers continued to come towards them, Lyco quickly positioned herself a few feet behind her sister, who was now using her sword to protect her comrades more than herself. Realizing it was now or never, Lyco used her hand eye coordination and began to time her swings. At first, she missed her first coupe of swings due to the lasers being too fast.
"Hurry, sis." Leeta pleaded, a bit nervous.
Lyco grasped her sword even tighter now. With a look of determination of her face, ready to attack, she began to swing at the lasers with now much more precision and speed. This time, she began to connect, smacking several of the lasers back at the Swatbots. Leeta's plan worked as originally thought. Lyco quickly began to smack enough of the lasers back at their foes, knocking four to the ground stunned.
Seeing the opening, Reynard and Canus took advantage, as they now charged towards the Swatbots. At first, Leeta and Lyco were surprised by this move on their part. However, both of them soon showed they knew what they were doing. As both of them moved closer to attack, now able to evade the lasers that came at them, both Reynard and Canus each grabbed a smoke bomb from their pocket, quickly heaving it in the front of the Swatbots. Once the bombs hit the ground, it released a huge cloud of smoke, blinding the path of their foes.
"Now's our chance to finish them off!" Reynard declared to his comrades. He then pointed his right arm towards the Swatbots and shouted loudly, "Everyone, ATTACK!"
Leeta and Lyco quickly followed suit, as they ran behind them to catch up. The Swatbots on the other hands not being able to see in front of the wall of smoke for the time being, soon attempted to fire rapidly again, trying desperately to hit the Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters. Unfortunately for them though, the four Wolf Pack members were already in position to strike.
"Follow my lead." Reynard ordered Leeta and Lyco, now standing right behind the wall of smoke. He and Canus each soon pulled out an explosive canister. After they did so, Reynard used his body language to show what he wanted the Wolf Pack twins to do, which was to jump high in the air near the now fading wall of smoke. Deciding to trust him, they did. After Leeta and Lyco jumped into the air, both Reynard and Canus tossed their explosive canisters towards them while they were in mid air. Both Leeta and Lyco got the gist of this strategy, quickly getting their swords ready to smack them at their foes.
Using precision timing and accuracy, their swords connected with the weapon like a bat, sending the canister towards the Swatbots at great speed. Within seconds, it hit Snively's robotic soldiers dead on, causing a huge explosion, destroying five to pieces. The other three were knocked off their feet by the blast. Leeta and Lyco quickly took advantage of this and finished them off, as they again used their swords to destroy their robotic eye, disabling their CPU as well.
After they were taken care of, Leeta said to Reynard psyched up as she wiped the sweat from her brow, "That was a quite a brilliant strategy you had cooked up."
But before Reynard could answer, another twelve Swatbots out of nowhere soon came towards them to do battle, making each of the four Wolf Pack members groan again.
"Looks like we better save the chitchat until we finish the job." Lyco commented.
"I couldn't have said it better myself." Canus replied, now feeling more uneasy than before.
Back in the air, the aerial battle between Bunnie and Manic VS two fierce Mecha Dragons was about to commence. After the green hedgehog exceeded 5,000 feet, he turned the board around to face their foes, who were not that far behind them.
"Let's do it to it, babe." Manic said, quickly turning to face her fired up.
Bunnie prepared to charge up her laser gun with a look of firmness of her face and replied, "With pleasure, Sugarhog." And with those the words, the fight was on.
As the Mecha Dragons came closer to attack, Bunnie said to Manic as they flew towards them as well, "Give me a few seconds to charge up, and then ah'll really let loose on their nasty metal hides."
"You got it, Bunnie." Manic replied, giving her a thumb up. The green hedgehog then prepared to use evasive maneuvers if necessary as she did so. Meanwhile, the Mecha Dragons were now within range and went to annihilate their prey. The Fire and Wind Dragons each charged up their special attack and soon fired, releasing a huge wall of fire and mighty gust of wind in front of the two Freedom Fighters. Manic though was one step ahead of them, evading their attacks with ease, heading higher into the sky before either of it could touch them. Once they were clear of any harm, both Mecha Dragons quickly chased after them in a fury.
Bunnie then said a second later, "Ok, Manic, she's all charged up, get me in position to fry em!"
"Will do." Manic replied energetically.
The green hedgehog quickly changed direction, now heading towards the Mecha Dragons. Both of them responded to Manic's maneuver by activating the rocket boosters on their metal wings, increasing their speed. Seeing this, Manic prepared a counter measure. He then turned to Bunnie and said, "Get ready to fire when I give you the signal."
Bunnie nodded her head in agreement and readied her attack.
Seconds later, the Fire and Wind Mecha Dragon now attempted to cut them in two with their razor sharp teeth. Seeing them in a V formation a second time, Manic soon had his counter plan ready to go in his head. Anticipating the fact the metal dragons would more than likely expect another dive attempt, Manic prepared to bait them another way, one that would again catch Snively's super soldiers off guard. As both sides drew closer, Manic hit the turbo on his hover board again and gave the impression to his foes that he was going into attack mode. This move caused the Mecha Dragons to kick up their rocket boosters in their metal wings another notch as well. Manic though was not the least bit surprised at all by this.
"That's right, metal heads; I've got you right where I want you." Manic said to himself softly with a grin.
With both sides now within moments of collision, Manic got into position to use his counter measures, as both Mecha Dragons opened their metal mouths, ready to cut them in two. Manic then tilted his hover board towards the ground, giving the impression he was nose-diving in the air. As he had thought, the fire and wind Mecha Dragons anticipated this move and soon went to counter it. But in reality, he was faking them out. After nose-diving for a second, he then quickly changed course, maneuvering to the left with his board at a forty five degree angle as he do so, cleverly evading the metal reptiles. After he cleared them, both Mecha Dragons again collided with each other, resulting in more damage to their metal structure.
Seeing them clearly stunned, Manic said to Bunnie loudly, "Now!"
Bunnie instantly responded to his signal, firing a fully charged laser beam at their metal heads. Her accuracy was right on the money, as each Mecha Dragon was hit by the blast, causing a huge explosion upon impact, resulting in further damage. Both Mecha Dragons soon roared in response from this attack.
Seeing this fired up both Freedom Fighters. Bunnie soon pumped her metal fist high in the air and exclaimed full of adrenaline, "Now that's what I'm talking about!" She then said to Manic, looking him in the eye, "Let's keep the pressure up to put em out of
" Moments later however, she felt a little weak on the inside, making it clear even to the green hedgehog, as her facial expressions changed quickly, putting her non metal hand beside her head, slightly groaning.
"Babe, you all right?" Manic asked her concerned.
Bunnie quickly shook her head in an attempt to get her senses straightened out and replied firmly, "Ah'm all right, just feel a bit lightheaded. Ah guess I've been using mah laser gun a bit too much."
"You think you can use it a couple of more times without straining yourself?" Manic inquired.
"Ah'll try." Bunnie replied, trying to reassure him. "Let's attack them again before they get their senses back too."
Unfortunately though, both Mecha Dragons by now had already done so and was now attempting to pay them back for Bunnie's previous attack.
Seeing this, Bunnie said to Manic firmly, "Ah guess that wasn't enough to discourage em. What do you say we give them another dose, Sugarhog?"
"You just read my mind, Babe." Manic replied, now heading towards them once again.
The two Freedom Fighters prepared for round two of this battle, more determined than ever to put Snively's metal reptiles into submission.
Manic then flew his hover board right towards the Mecha Dragons a second time, making them do the same. Seconds later, both metal reptiles spewed another large attack of fire and wind at the two Freedom Fighters. Manic of course knew this was coming and easily evaded it, heading higher into the air again. As before, both Mecha Dragons anticipated this evasion move and went to pounce. Little did they realize, Manic again had another brilliant counter measure in place. After seeing them attempting to attack, Manic shouted to Bunnie, quickly ducking afterwards, "Now!" Bunnie had been charging her gun again as they went towards them. A second later, the cyborg rabbit fired a full powered laser blast a 2nd time, again hitting both Dragons hard, resulting in further damage to their metal heads.
As they roared again in response to this, Manic said after hovering above them excited, "Oh yea, we've got them backed into a corner now!" He then turned to Bunnie and said to her, "Fire another one to
" Manic though lost his train of thought, as he saw her again holding her head with her hands, groaning more loudly than before in pain.
"Bunnie!" Manic exclaimed worried, putting a hand on her non metal shoulder.
Bunnie though again tried to tough it out, saying after shaking her head again to regain focus and then looking at him, "Don't worry about me, Sugarhog. Just get me in position to attack."
Manic however shook his head at her suggestion. "I can't do that. Those charged up laser blasts are really draining the blood from the body."
Bunnie then looked firmly in the eye and replied, "Ah'll be ok. Don't fret so much about my condition. Besides, the important thing is that we put these nasty metal machines out of commission, am I right?"
"But not at the cost of you being
" Manic unfortunately had no time to finish that sentence, as the Mecha Wind Dragon spewed a mighty gust of wind at them, blowing them away in one breath backwards. To make matters worse, the Mecha Wind Dragon had blown them right towards a large sized mountain, head on.
"Sugarhog, do something, quick!" Bunnie exclaimed in a fright, now seeing the mountain herself. Manic soon saw it himself and then activated the turbo on his hover board to hopefully propel them back in time for colliding head first at great speed. Seconds later, the green hedgehog realized it wasn't going to be enough to right his board time. In a desperation move, Manic quickly attempted to swing the board 180 degrees, in order to have the hovering part of the face the mountain.
As he did this, Bunnie cried out again, "Hurry, Manic, or we're done for!"
Hearing that plea from his girlfriend gave the green hedgehog the courage and determination to save their lives. Manic then used all his leg strength to turn his board around. Seconds from impact, he righted it from a deadly collision. The bottom of the board now faced towards the mountain, which in return repelled it from touching the ledge.
Bunnie quickly wiped the sweat from her brow, saying, "Now that was way too close. C'mon, we better
Manic, look out!"
Manic quickly looked up, and there he saw the two Mecha Dragons again in hot pursuit, this time planning to slam them against the mountain structure at full speed.
Seeing this, Manic instantly hit the turbo again, heading upwards on the mountain wall. Thankfully, his evasive maneuvers did the job, as he and Bunnie barely missed getting hit by them. Moments later, both Mecha Dragons quickly swooped by below them, violently smashing into the mountain feet first, unable to stop in time. Due to their metal bodies and velocity, each of the metal reptiles received minor damage from the crash, but the mountain took the brunt of it, causing large chunks of rocks to scatter in several directions from the huge hole they made.
As a large plume of dust bellowed from the hole in the mountain Manic piloted his hover board to get a better look at it.
"Ya think that took care of em for now?" Bunnie inquired curious
Manic though arched his eyebrows as he examined it. Seconds later, he shouted to her, "Fire now!"
Bunnie at first was puzzled by this order, since he wanted her to conserve her shots, but soon understood why, as the rumblings from inside began to get louder. In a bit of panic, Bunnie complied, though she played it safe, firing two small laser shots instead inside the hole. After she did so, Manic took off for the skies again while the two Dragons roared again in anger from the attack. As soon as he was 100 feet above it, the hole around mountain erupted in a fury, scattering larger chunks of rock everywhere. As it turned out, both Mecha Dragons used their special attacks and robotic strength to break free from inside.
Seeing this made Bunnie deeply concerned. "If we don't put these nasty reptiles away soon, we're in a lot trouble!"
Manic nodded his head and replied, "Exactly, especially since we don't have our arsenal of weapons from our backpacks."
"We gotta find a way to get them, and soon." Bunnie commented.
"Agreed," Manic said to her. "Question is though, how do we sneak past Snively's troops so we can?"
As they tried to ponder this over, reality soon set in again, as another large gust of wind nearly hit them. Both Freedom Fighters quickly turned around and saw the Mecha Dragons had easily tracked them down and were closing in a hurry.
"We've won the first two rounds," Manic said to Bunnie. "Now let's put em away in this one!"
Bunnie nodded her head and readied her laser gun once more. Manic then added before preparing to turn around to face them, "Just make sure you use that gun wisely when firing. We can't risk you passing out while we're so high up."
While she didn't like him being overprotective of her well being, Bunnie though understood why he did. In a way, she even found it sweet. She then replied after nodding her head again, "If only I had mah Power Ring with me, I could easily ice them."
Manic said to her as he turned around, "I know, just do the best you can."
Once he began to fly towards them at top speed, Bunnie vowed to do just that. Since the fully charged laser blasts were taking too much of a toll on her from firing a lot of them from before, she decided to follow his advice and fire laser shots that she could handle for the time being.
Seconds from meeting them head on, the Mecha Dragons fired another wall of flame and powerful gust of wind directly at Manic and Bunnie simultaneously. Manic though was ready for it, easily evading the attack. This time, he steered to the left again at a forty five degree on his board, missing both attacks without a scratch. Both Mecha Dragons though anticipated another evasion attempt from the green hedgehog, and were ready to counter it. As they saw him swerve to the left, the metal reptiles quickly moved to the left in order to pounce.
But again, Manic and Bunnie were one step ahead of them. As they readied another special attack, Bunnie fired several laser beams inside their mouths before they could, temporarily disrupting their ability to attack them. Both Mecha Dragons again roared from the effects of it. Manic then sped off, trying to get enough space so he could turn around and get another run at them. Unfortunately though, the Mecha Dragons immediately chased them from behind, now completely furious at their inability to take them out.
"Better step on it, Manic." Bunnie warned, looking over her shoulder. "They're coming after us like an angry pack of hawks!"
Manic quickly glanced over his shoulder, and saw she was right. With every second, they were closing in at an alarming rate. "You better fire some more of your laser beams at them to slow these metal heads down." He said to her.
Bunnie was about to do that, but soon shouted before she could after slightly glancing to the right, "Look out!"
Manic again looked over his shoulder and saw them within moments of firing their special attacks again. "Oh crud." He muttered, now starting to sweat bullets.
One second later, the Mecha Dragons fired their attacks. Manic though was able to time his evasive maneuvers, as he maneuvered his board higher into the air to miss it. The Mecha Dragons though were now relentless, as they moved up as well and quickly fired again. Manic barely saw it coming and again evaded the second attack by maneuvering to a lower altitude. But even then, the Mecha Dragons were unfazed, as they continued to fire as fast as they could, determined to eliminate them.
Moving any which way he could to stay in one piece, Manic did so on his board in order to avoid their attacks, but with more attacks coming at them so rapidly, not even two seconds apart, he knew he was going to have to think of something else if they were going to survive. In a desperation move, he attempted another aerial loop in order to hopefully catch the metal reptiles over pursuing and have Bunnie fire at them once they were behind. To his shock, the Mecha Dragons anticipated this move and quickly followed, making even Bunnie nearly drop her jaw from amazement.
"How are they able to follow us so precisely?" Bunnie pondered disgusted.
After Manic cleared his loop, the Mecha Dragons began to fire another round their special attacks in multiple directions. Bunnie tried to slow them down by firing more laser beams at them, but unfortunately ended up getting hit by a small portion of the flame wall the Fire Mecha Dragon had spewed in the process. Bunnie screamed in pain, as it again hit her burnt metal shoulder from before, now clutching it tightly.
"Bunnie!" Manic shouted in horror.
The green hedgehog then began to evade randomly in another desperation move to keep her from suffering any more harm. His plan worked for the time being, as his aerial prowess kept the Mecha Dragons' attacks from hitting either of them. Bunnie though soon let go of her metal shoulder, now enraged.
"I've had all I can stand!" she shouted, glaring at them with rage. "Take this!" And with those words, Bunnie fired lasers at the Mecha Dragons as rapidly as she could.
"Bunnie, stop!" Manic yelled in desperation. "You're going to make yourself pass out again!"
Bunnie though wouldn't be deterred, as she fired again and again, hitting the Mecha Dragons several times on the metal faces, causing moderate damage to their metal faces, as well as slowing them down from attacking for the time being. Manic stood there absolutely amazed at her fierce shooting she had just done. It was then that he realized Bunnie was running on pure adrenaline now, as that was the only thing keeping her from collapsing from a loss of blood.
Manic then restrained her a few seconds later flying away to get a cushion from them, saying, "That's enough! Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
Bunnie though wrenched away from his grasp, retorting, "Those nasty dragons burned mah metal shoulder. I've been injured there once before, and I ain't gonna let no robotic solider of Snively's attack me there again without a fight!"
Manic would have tried to talk more sense into her, but soon saw the Mecha Dragons again coming at them in hot pursuit. He then decided to bait the two metal reptiles, appearing to be heading upwards, but then swoop low at the last second. As the Mecha Dragons came closer, he did just that. Surprisingly, he was able to outsmart them this time. Both Mecha Dragons surprisingly over pursued their prey due to being at nearly top speed when attempting to cut them in two with their razor sharp metal teeth. However, the maneuver only bought them a few seconds. Within moments, they turned around and again gave chase.
Seeing this, Bunnie attempted to fire again at the metal reptiles, but was unable to, as she nearly collapsed from loss of blood.
"Bunnie!" Manic shouted in horror. Bunnie thankfully had leaned towards him when she collapsed, thus keeping her falling off. Manic then said to her, "Hold onto me tightly. I'll try to buy us some time for now."
Bunnie did as he told her, though was very weak at the moment. Seeing her condition, he realized he was going to have go at it solo for the time being. To make matters worse, he would have to do so while trying to keep her from being hit by any attacks that came at them. Manic though vowed right then to do his best to keep Bunnie from anymore harm.
I won't let them hurt my girl any further! Manic thought angrily. He then looked at the Mecha Dragons with fire in his eyes and then shouted at them tauntingly, "Come and get me, metal heads!"
His words angered the Mecha Dragons, which in turn made them crank the boost on their rocket engines. Seeing this, Manic decided the best way to get the metal reptiles off his tail was to outsmart them. He then tilted the nose of his hover board lower and began to descend towards the ground. His plan was to have them follow him around for awhile, evading their attacks, and then find a large mountain, where he would pull off a very risky aerial move in order to have them crash into it.
Once he was descended to within ten feet of the ground, Manic said taking a deep breath, "Ok, here goes nothing."
Moments later, the Mecha Dragons made their move. This time, they decided to do a timing attack in order to hit the green hedgehog while he was evading the first attack. Once they were within ten feet of their prey, the Fire Mecha Dragon started the strategy by firing another large wall of flame at its prey. Manic again moved to the left to evade it. As he did so, the Mecha Wind Dragon made its move, quickly spewing a powerful gust of wind. Unfortunately for them, Manic was too agile on his board for even this, as he saw the Mecha Wind Dragon preparing to fire after a quick glance and soon countered it with ease, moving higher into the air on his hover board before it could touch him.
Angered by their failure, the Mecha Dragons turned up the heat on him, as they now flew even closer, now attempting to use their razor sharp metal teeth in order to cut him down to size. But again, their attack was for naught, as Manic saw this was the perfect opportunity to do an aerial loop, quickly executing it. The Mecha Dragons could only get within 12 inches before he did so, now looping behind them. After he completed it, the Mecha Dragons responded to his trickery by again spewing their attacks at him simultaneously after turning their heads to face him. Again, they came up short, as Manic dived on his hover board underneath the attack, heading towards the ground. Within seconds, the Mecha Dragons righted themselves after over pursuing him and soon gave chase yet again.
Seeing this, Manic prepared for his next move. He would fight to the death to protect the girl he loved. Bunnie meanwhile had managed to hang for the time being without getting hit, but was still having a difficult time doing so. Moments later, she asked him, "Can you hold em off for the time being?"
Manic replied to her, "I'll do what I can, Babe. I won't let you down."
Hearing that made the cyborg rabbit smile, though still feel very nervous about this whole situation.
Moments later, Manic turned around, and there he saw the Mecha Dragons closing in at an alarming rate. The green hedgehog then responded by preparing another counter evasive move for whatever they had planned.
As long as I can keep dodging their attacks, we should be ok. Manic thought to himself.
Unfortunately though, their next move would leave him without a strategy to counter it. This time, they both came at him from each side, now hovering right next to him, preparing to strike without warning. This move left Manic feeling very uneasy. If he tried to evade one attack, the chances of getting hit the by other one was very high, especially since Bunnie was still trying to get her strength back from her loss of blood. Nevertheless, he refused to back down from this move of theirs. Moments later, the Fire Mecha Dragon on the right attempted to use its razor sharp teeth to try and take a bite out of him. Seeing this, Manic suddenly came up with an idea. Once the Fire Mecha Dragon made its move, Manic made his, as he did combination of a barrel roll while doing a loop to the left. This move made the Wind Mecha Dragon also try to attack by trying to use its razor sharp teeth as well. Manic though cleared their attacks with ease, as the Mecha Dragons instead hit each other for a third time. Both of them ended up with more damage to their metal jaw as a result of the green hedgehog's clever strategy.
Using this opportunity wisely while they were stunned, Manic looked for a large mountain in order to put his final plan into action. Within ten seconds, he found it, and soon began to fly towards it. But as he was doing so, he got another rude awakening, as both Mecha Dragons had quickly caught up to him and now began to fire their special attacks rapidly again with rage. Now in a pickle, Manic did everything he could to avoid getting hit, but soon discovered it was becoming very difficult, as waves of flames and tornado winds were coming at him right and left with fierce intensity, almost hitting Bunnie as well. Seeing the mountain up ahead, he pushed forward, hoping he could avoid their attacks until he arrived. Once he was within 500 feet of it, Manic made his move. He then flew higher into the air now at around 300 feet in the air. The Mecha Dragons responded to his maneuver by following after him almost immediately, continuing their relentless series of attacks. Five seconds later, Manic saw he was now close enough and now dive-bombed towards the bottom of the mountain structure, hoping his enemies would follow suit.
Thankfully, they did, not letting up on the green hedgehog even an inch while doing so. Once Manic was less than ten feet off the ground, readied his strategy while doing all he could to stay in one piece.
"Ok, it's the moment of truth. Hope this works." Manic said to himself, starting to sweat bullets again.
Manic then led his pursuers to within five feet of the mountain wall, who hadn't backed off at all. Then, with perfect timing, he turned his hover board at a ninety degree angle, now heading upwards on the flat mountain structure. The Mecha Dragons on the other hand had no time to stop, as they crashed violently into the large mountain head on, making a big hole in the structure with rock debris flying everywhere.
Manic soon turned his head towards the ground, and there he saw the aftermath of the collision. Dust soon began billowing from inside of it. He then smiled with a thumbs up and said with excitement, "All right, took care of those bozos!"
Seconds later, with Manic hovering above the mountain, Bunnie finally was able to stand without any support, though was still very weak. She then asked him, "What did I miss?"
Manic grinned and replied to her, "You missed the best part, babe. I baited those metal heads and had them crash head on into a mountain."
"Really? You pulled that off all by yourself?" Bunnie inquired impressed.
Feeling grateful for his help, Bunnie decided to give him a kiss on the cheek as reward for his bravery. But before she could, she and Manic both heard a loud rumbling.
"What in tarnation?" Bunnie said in shock. "It can't be
But it was. Within seconds, both Mecha Dragons had blasted out of the mountain they had crashed into, weakening its structure in the process.
"I don't believe this!" Manic commented in disbelief. "They're still kicking like nothing happened."
Bunnie then lost her cool and said to Manic gritting her teeth, "It's time we dealt them a serious blow."
"Are you sure you can
"Don't worry bout me." Bunnie told him firmly. "Just get me in position to attack."
"But you'll pass out if you use your gun anymore." Manic argued.
"That might be true, but I got other ways to deal with these nasty dragons!" Bunnie countered.
Manic would have argued further, but saw he had no time to do so, as the Mecha Dragons soon spotted them above and again gave chase.
"Here we go again." Manic muttered. He then looked at Bunnie and said, "You ready to do this?"
Bunnie smacked her fists together and replied sharply, "Let's toast em!"
Flying around at about 250 feet in the air, Manic and Bunnie waited in anticipation for their pursuers to come closer. Five seconds later, they closed to within twenty feet.
Bunnie then told moments later, "Do another aerial loop, Manic."
"What good will that do?" Manic argued. "They'll just follow me without losing a step."
"Trust me on this." Bunnie replied, now getting a bit agitated by his protests.
Manic didn't like this plan of hers, but decided to comply. Several seconds later, both Mecha Dragons were within five feet and attempting to spew another special attack at them.
"Now, Manic!" Bunnie shouted.
Manic instantly complied, as he looped again at 360 degrees. As the green hedgehog had thought, the Mecha Dragons instantly saw this coming and followed suit. But out of nowhere, Bunnie put her plan into action. Once Manic was past halfway into his loop, she positioned herself on the board by bending her knees and then jumping high into the air. Manic looked on in complete shock as she did this. But again, Bunnie showed she knew what she doing. While in mid air, Bunnie aimed for the one of the Mecha Dragons following closely behind and then went to attack them with an aerial karate kick to their metal head.
Bunnie's aim was right on the mark, as neither of the Mecha Dragons saw it coming until it was too late. The cyborg rabbit hit the Fire Mecha Dragon directly on the back of its head with her metal feet, causing to roar in anger from this move. Manic looked on in amazement at her martial arts ability. To neither Freedom Fighter's surprise, the Fire Mecha Dragon now focused on the cyborg rabbit instead of the green hedgehog. The Mecha Dragon that Bunnie stood on after landing soon turned its head around as far as it could and then spewed a large flame attack at her. Bunnie though saw it coming and quickly reacted, jumping again in the air to evade being hit. The Fire Mecha Dragon then tried to aim high to hit her in mid air. Bunnie however countered this by somersaulting briefly and then aiming for the metal snout with another aerial karate kick. Using precision and speed, Bunnie beat her foe to the punch, kicking it hard in the jaw before it could change the direction of its flame attack.
Again, the Fire Mecha Dragon roared in anger from this and soon attempted to charge up another flame attack in retaliation after she landed. But Bunnie once more outsmarted this metal reptile, running towards it with speed and landing a strong punch underneath the metal jaw with force. Bunnie's punch was so strong; it made its metal head recoil backwards seriously stunned. The cyborg rabbit then went for the kill, only to get interrupted.
"Bunnie, look out!" Manic shouted nearby, who had been trying to hold off the other Mecha Dragon during this time. By now, the Wind Mecha Dragon had seen enough of the cyborg rabbit to realize she was the bigger threat, and attempted to blow her away.
Bunnie then ducked underneath its large tornado gust attack to avoid being knocked off as it came towards her. Unfortunately though, she had lost her focus on the other Dragon and soon paid the price, as it rotated its body 360 degrees in the air. Bunnie instantly fell off and began to plummet to the ground, screaming in terror. Manic looked on with a panicked expression on his face. Thinking fast, he flew towards her. However, as he did so, the Mecha Dragons also followed suit, attempting to take both of them out at the same time.
"Oh no you don't, metal heads!" Manic said with fierce determination after spotting them.
Manic then hit the turbo again, determined to get to Bunnie before the Mecha Dragons could. As Bunnie continued her free fall plunge, Manic raced towards her as fast he could. The green hedgehog saw this was going to be close, as the ground was coming towards them at an alarming rate. To make things worse, both Mecha Dragons were inching closer and preparing to attack both of them at the exact same time.
Manic though wasn't about to let them succeed. Now within ten feet of her and closing, with the ground less than seventy five feet away, Manic swooped to her left side and pulled out his hand, saying, "Hurry, grab on!"
"Why don't you just catch me?" Bunnie asked a bit annoyed.
A second later, she got her answer, as the Fire Mecha Dragon spewed a large wall of flame towards both of them, forcing Manic to change direction, especially since he was the primary target. A few seconds later, with the Wind Mecha Dragon now was ready to pounce. Manic by now got back in position and extended his hand again.
Now only thirty feet from hitting the ground, Manic shouted to her, "Take my hand, quick!"
Bunnie this time didn't argue, quickly grabbing hand his while falling. After she grabbed onto it tightly, Manic baited his pursuers once he was near the ground, as he made his foes believe he was going straight up on his board. Again, they bought it due to them overpersuing. As soon as Manic saw them right behind him, trying to attack the two Freedom Fighters, Manic pulled off a very risky reverse half Cuban eight aerial maneuver to the left. Once again, his aerial prowess off, as he managed to break free of their pursuit for a few seconds.
"Nice going, Manic." Bunnie said relieved. "But we still gotta trash them nasty metal reptiles."
"Agreed." Manic replied. "Question is, how are we going to do it?"
After saying this, he saw the Mecha Dragons again right themselves and give chase. As they did so, Bunnie said frowning, "I see only one course of action."
"What's that?" Manic inquired
"It's gonna be very risky." Bunnie explained. "But if we can pull this off, we should be able to get a breather at least."
"Ok, what's the plan?"
Bunnie immediately saw them closing in a hurry and replied, "Just fly where I tell ya and let me do the rest."
Manic wasn't too keen on this strategy, but decided to comply. He then took off in the air again, with the Mecha Dragons once more in hot pursuit. As soon as the Mecha Dragons were within ten feet of them, Bunnie then shouted to him, "Hit the brakes!"
"What are you crazy?"
"Just do it, Manic!" Bunnie replied sharply.
Manic decided to trust her on this and did so. Thankfully, the Mecha Dragons did not see this move coming and soon swooped by, but not before Bunnie managed to grab the Mecha Fire Dragon by the tail with her metal arm, making it roar again in anger. After she grabbed onto it tightly, Bunnie said, "Ok, full speed ahead, Sugarhog!"
Manic immediately did so, but had no idea what the cyborg rabbit had cooked up. The other Mecha Dragon meanwhile soon saw this and turned around, now attempting to retaliate for Bunnie's actions.
"Right on schedule." Bunnie smirked. She then said to Manic as the Wind Mecha Dragon came closer, "Ok, now turn us around so I can face the other dragon head on."
"Are you sure about this plan of yours?" Manic asked again with deep concern.
"I got it under control." Bunnie replied to him with a sly grin. "Just trust me on this." The Fire Mecha Dragon during this time tried as hard as it could to get free from Bunnie's grasp, but she refused to let go.
Manic then turned around, now on a collision course with the Wind Mecha Dragon. As both sides drew nearer, Bunnie readied her next move. As the Wind Dragon prepared to spew another tornado attack, Bunnie put her plan into action.
"Hit the brakes again, Manic!"
Manic immediately did so. While the hover board was coming to a stop, Bunnie swung the Fire Mecha Dragon in her grasp a few times and then flung it at the Wind Dragon with all her strength. The Mecha Wind Dragon had no time to react to this, as the Fire Dragon slammed into it head on violently, entangling both of them together.
As they struggled to get free, Bunnie quickly said to Manic, "Ok, now get us high into the air as fast as you can."
Manic followed her instructions, as he went now 10,000 feet into the air. Once they were at that height, Bunnie then said loudly, "Dive bomb now, Sugarhog!"
Manic did as he was told, though still felt uneasy about this plan. As they dropped towards the ground at top speed, Bunnie said to him, "Be ready to catch me once I jump off. This is going to be very dicey."
"What exactly are you going to do?" Manic inquired puzzled.
"Ah'm gonna give them nasty reptiles a rattling they'll never forget." Bunnie replied with a smirk.
Manic had no idea what she meant, but decided to do his part to help her succeed. As they neared closer and closer, Bunnie again prepared to jump off, bending her knees to get maximum height. Once they were within twenty five feet, Bunnie jumped off, quickly somersaulting in mid air for a few seconds, and then went to attack the metal reptiles with another strong aerial karate kick. By this time, both Mecha Dragons managed to get free, but it was too little late. Bunnie came at them a second later and delivered the blow, hitting both Mecha Dragons with her metal feet as hard as she could. Then, as a finishing move, she used her metal fist to deliver another huge blow after making contact with them.
Bunnie's attack was so strong against her opponents, it even shocked her. Upon impact, her kick and punch sent them spiraling to the ground at alarming speeds. Within seconds, they hit the ground with violent force, resulting in a large dust cloud billowing from the hole they ended up making from the collision.
Manic meanwhile was in position to catch Bunnie after she pulled off this daring strategy, and soon caught her before she could plummet to the ground as well. Once she was safe, Manic whistled in amazement at what she had just done.
"My goodness," Manic commented impressed. "That was totally amazing to watch."
"Aw, Sugarhog, stop, you're gonna make me blush." Bunnie replied with flushed cheeks.
"Where did you learn such cool strategies anyway?" Manic inquired
Bunnie shrugged her shoulders and replied, "Well, I guess you could say spending a lot of time with Sally girl had something to do with it. She's quite the strategist I might add."
Manic nodded his head in agreement, and then went to check on their foes. This time, they didn't get up, as Bunnie's attack at such velocity, as well as from hitting the ground had seriously damaged their metal bodies, so much in fact, they were heavily sparking in the hole they made.
"Looks like they're down for the count for now." Bunnie commented.
"Think we oughta finish them off?" Manic inquired.
Seconds later, both heard a large explosion from Snively's camp, which they were about half a mile away from now.
"No time, Sugarhog!" Bunnie replied. "Our comrades' safety is more important than these nasty reptiles!."
"Agreed." Manic said, nodding his head. "Let's juice and cut it loose!"
"Hey, that's your brother's line." Bunnie commented with a frown, as they took off.
Manic shrugged his shoulders once in the air and replied sheepishly, "Sorry, couldn't resist."
Bunnie couldn't help but chuckle slightly at this response of his.
